Situated in a lush green three acres campus, IBRAD School of Management and Sustainable Development are only five K.M. away from the airport and 4 KM from Ultadanga on the VIP Road, Kestopur.

The campus is visible from the VIP Road and one has to walk down less than 200 mts to reach the campus from Kestopur on the VIP Road.

The classroom sessions are interactive and encourage the students to think independently and inspire their creativity. The faculty ensures that the students in the class have assimilated the content projected. High level of discipline is maintained in the classroom. The faculty members are empowered to curb any disturbance and ensure that the time is used fruitfully. To this effect, students are expected to maintain decorum and refrain from causing any disturbance in the classroom. Camera cell phones are prohibited in the campus. Students are advised not to use cell phones in the corridor, classrooms and laboratories. Library or any part of campus building.

Classroom instructions are supplemented by students' presentations and / or guest lectures by external/internal experts.

Attendance is taken by the faculty concerned at the beginning of each class. All the classes begin on time and the students coming late is not given attendance.

Continuous Learning :

Students are continuously assessed throughout the course and due weight-age for this is given in the fina assessment. Assignments / Mini Projects / Seminars b] students form part of continuous evaluation for both theory as well as lab classes. Faculty members inforrr the students about the topics and due dates for the assignment / mini project / seminar well in advance anc motivate the students to complete in time. Students doing exemplary mini projects, preferably working models will be suitably rewarded with additional awards / prizes

Project Assignments :

The projects can be done in-house (IBRAD campus) or in any industry. It is preferred that students take up in-house projects and fabricate working models which have a long-lasting value for the Institute and give a sense of satisfaction to the students. However, when a student is particular in persuing the project in an industry, he/she can do so after getting the prior approval from the Principal.

If the project is done in an industry, there should be an External Guide in the industry where the project is being Done.

The review dates and schedule would be informed well in advnce . Criteria of evaluation will be based on WBUT norms.
Each student has to submit Project Review Reports and Final Project Report individually highlighting his specific contribution to the Project Work.
Project review and evaluation will be jointly done by the Project Guide, the Project Co-ordinator and the Principal.
The final viva-voce will be conducted as per the schedule given by the WBUT. The evaluation during the final viva-voce will be done by the external examiners appointed by the WBUT.

The Library : The knowledge bank and the process of infernafization of learning.

IBRAD'S library has collection of books and other materials maintained for reading, consultation, study and research and organized to provide access to a specific clientele, with a staff trained to provide services to meet the needs of its users. This library also serve as gateways to online and Internet resources, and provide instruction in the use of electronic resources.

The Library with its modern collection of information resources and innovative information services plays a vital role in the intellectuals pursuits of IBRAD's academic community.

With a collection of books of addition to journals and threses, our library is reckoned as one of the best in city in the field of management NRM, JFM and Sustainable development.

Library holds a rich collection of books of more than 1200 titles, subscription of nearly 35 printed journals, databases, audio-visual, e-journals, annual reports of top companies and Government departments, case studies, conference proceedings, etc.

We are also going for DELNET facilities to provide opportunities for the students to access library networks.

Electronic Library

The e-library provides a single-window access to all the electronic resources subscribed by the Library. Efforts are on to develop a world-class online library system in the area of business related information. Cutting-edge technologies are used to offer academic community access to up-to-date, relevant business and management information available on their desktops. The e-library will be accessible across the campus network.

IBRAD School is a member of British Council Library. Students can access the library through IBRAD School.

Computer : It is not the number but the process approach and methods of teaching computer science and its applications The Computer laboratory has broabband internet access, an audio-visual laboratory with video-conferencing facilities.

Cafeteria : the centre of health food and developing belief for healthy eating

The policy of avoiding junk food and providing healthy meals and change of attitude towards healthy food has conspicuously contributed in the life style and health of the students. The practical implementation of healthy-eating programme involves a clear and focus plan for developing the students as energetic, positive thinking and healthy professionals. IBRAD School has its own cafeteria and provides lunch at subsidized rate based on the concept of the health food.

Eating Together

Harvard researchers have found the fact that people who eat together in a family like environment have better overall nutrition and positive thinking. In turn, this means they also have a lower risk of many diseases and of being overweight or obese. Not only have studies found that students who eat with their families get better grades in school and have a more positive attitude about their future, but they also are less likely to get involved with negative behaviours like drinking alcohol, taking drugs or smoking. In IBRAD family students and faculty eat together, relax and get opportunity to have informal talk and know each beyond class rooms. They talk and communicate better and find out about each other's days experience thus develop strong social bond and that is the best part. Many will also recall these times as some of their most cherished memories in IBRAD.

Health check up and Physical Fitness : The sound body and sound mind.

Maintaining health and quality of life will be one of the greatest challenges facing societies in the next century.

It ha been proved that the improved physical fitness can significantly affect the individual in terms of changes in personality and behavior. The changes also appear to have a significant positive effect on individual leadership traits.

Fitness and health both are related to each other. When we talk about health, we must take care of fitness also. Health means physical constitution. Any issue related to human body is under health. Health covers various diet and fitness plans also. Health of a person reflects the sound body with a sound mind.

IBRAD School has a team of medical professionals including lady doctors for regular health check ups for the students. Students are also covered under medical insurance to meet the cost of the medical treatment under the scheme.

Dress/Uniform : means of brining unity, uniformity and pride

Dress uniforms have been a great equalizer for our students and have been wonderful both in terms of unity and discipline. Students often feel less peer pressure when every one dresses the same and have not to worry about fashion crazes. The uniform positively influenced the institute's image in the community and help to build a self-esteem.

We believe that a properly formulated uniform program can provide a number of tangible benefits to most. Uniform can help students identity more closely with the values and traditions of their institute and its mission. Students can be recognized for their personalities and for their inner strengths, rather than by their appearances only.

Even the members of faculty are requested to have very strict dress code that goes with the culture and discipline of the institute.

The activities Programme balances in-class and out-of-class learning.
